There is no such thing as too many measures to contain the spread of COVID-19, which unfortunately is still circulating and highly contagious, and here at COBE Dental we are doing everything we can to keep caring for and treating our patients while ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and protection and keeping the virus out of our clinic.
That is why we have equipped our clinic with air treatment and sanitisation devices, and we continue to follow all anti-SARS-CoV-2 safety rules scrupulously, such as the use of PPE, distancing in the waiting room, plexiglass barriers, body temperature checks and so on.
We do, however, ask our patients to make one small gesture that is hugely important for everyone’s wellbeing: to clean their mouth and teeth thoroughly immediately before coming to an appointment at our clinic.
The mouthwash rinse we ask you to do when you sit down in the chair may not be enough to eliminate all the pathogens present in the mouth. When we use air and water spray instruments, there is therefore a real risk of contaminating the environment and exposing both our team and the patients who come after you to possible infection, because the aerosol produced stays suspended in the air for a long time. This risk, however, drops significantly if patients arrive with thoroughly brushed teeth.
On this subject, we recommend watching a video made by Dr Capri, which explains all the techniques for cleaning your teeth and mouth really thoroughly.
We are confident of your understanding and cooperation, and we look forward to seeing you at the clinic!
